Heaven, Earth and Astrology - my first love
I have been a consulting astrologer since 1979. I had first approached astrology with scepticism and one question: could astrology explain why people were attracted to each other - or not? It did, and with overwhelming clarity.

After exploring various styles, techniques and approaches - predictive, counselling, archetypal, psychological - I realised that astrology works on many levels. I was an active member of the Astrological Lodge of London, and in 1985 I co-published a facsimile edition of William Lilly's Christian Astrology of 1644 to encourage awareness of traditional divinatory astrology. I worked for 13 years on an astrology phone line and hold a postgraduate Diploma in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology (Bath Spa).

I have given talks to local groups, and led study groups, but like one-to-one client work best.

Some of my fantasies: one day there might be an astrological Newsnight; one day there might be a sitcom based on an astrologer's practice.

In 2001 I met the late grandmaster Dr Shen Hongxun, and was instantly committed to studying his Buddhist/Daoist approach to 'Heaven Force (tian chi) and 'Earth Force' using the physical body - and of course the mind. I am now qualified to practice Buqi (pronounced boochee) Therapy and to teach Taijiwuxigong - tai chi exercises for health rather than fighting.
